IC Markets appoints Ben Singleton as General Manager, bringing extensive FX trading experience and new strategic insights.

Retail FX and CFDs broker IC Markets has announced the appointment of Ben Singleton as its new General Manager. Singleton, a financial sector veteran with extensive experience in FX trading, will be based at IC Markets‘ headquarters in Sydney.

Singleton, who previously served as an Executive Director at Credit Agricole CIB, brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. His 17-year tenure at Credit Agricole included significant responsibilities as Head of G10 FX Trading – Asia, where he managed a range of FX trading activities, including spot, swaps, precious metals, and e-FX/Algo trading. Singleton’s role also involved market-making and trade execution.

Before joining Credit Agricole, Singleton held key positions at Bank of America and Commonwealth Bank. At Bank of America, he served as Vice President and Senior FX Trader, focusing on market making and trade execution. His career began at Commonwealth Bank, where he worked as a Foreign Exchange Trader.

Singleton holds a Bachelor of Business in Finance and Economics from the University of Technology Sydney, further underscoring his deep expertise in the field.

Singleton’s appointment fills a significant gap left by Andrew Taylor, the previous General Manager and close associate of IC Markets founder and CEO Andrew Budzinski. Taylor departed IC Markets in 2022 to join ACY Securities and later moved to Scope Prime as APAC head.

In related news, IC Markets has recently expanded its operations and services. The firm received a regulatory license in Kenya from the Capital Markets Authority (CMA), allowing it to operate as a non-dealing online foreign exchange broker. This development marks IC Markets‘ entry into the Kenyan market following the CMA’s issuance of licenses to several new firms.

Furthermore, IC Markets has integrated TipRanks’ analytical tools into its platform, offering clients advanced research features. These new tools include the News Sentiment tool, which tracks media attitudes towards assets, and the Hedge Funds Activity tool, which monitors changes in large investment institutions’ portfolios.

With Singleton’s arrival and the company’s recent expansions, IC Markets is poised to enhance its offerings and strengthen its position in the global trading arena.
